Our nursery fees with funding include an Additional Service Charge.
The Additional Service Charge allows us to provide the high quality service that we want to provide and that our families have come to expect. The funding we receive from the government is and has always been based on the following statement from the Dfe: "Government funding is intended to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional services".
Our Additional Service Charge includes the following:
- All meals, snacks and drinks
- Subsidised forest school sessions
- 'Care Package' - this includes provision of formula milk, nappies, wetwipes, nappy cream, sunscreen, liquid paracetamol and antihistamine
- Daily updates on your child's day at nursery via our 'Famly' app (this is in addition to the learning journal)
- Special celebration days including our annual family fun day, graduation parties etc
Our Additional Service Charge is a voluntary payment - any families unable or unwilling to pay our Additional Service Charge will have to opt out and agree to our 'Unable or Unwilling to Pay Policy', which can be found here.
Our nursery fees will differ slightly for children accessing their funding for the first time in January and April as the remaining funded hours available until the end of the academic year in September is less. The full quota of funding will be available from the following September.
We stretch our funding over 51 weeks of the year, as our nursery fees are charged 52 weeks per year, there will be a separate charge spilt over the year to cover this non funded week (this will be shown on your invoice as 'Non-Funded Week Charge'. This charge is applied for children accessing their full quota of funding from September - if a child leaves before the non-funded week charge has been repaid in full, the remainder will be added to your final invoice.
Funded places are subject to availability. Any additional sessions over and above this entitlement will be charged at our standard rate.
