Our Team
The Little Lane Nursery believes that both the children and ourselves will maximise their nursery experience with a permanent team of fully qualified staff. We have recruited experienced and qualified nursery nurses and continually support our staff in updating their skills, training and qualifications (all staff are DBS checked and qualified) in order to provide a rich and varied curriculum for our children.
Please see below for a summary of our established key team members and their skills.

Emma
Nursery Manager
Emma is the Nursery Manager and the main contact for parents.
Emma is a mum to Ava and Theodore and has over 11 years’ experience as a nursery nurse. She started her training with a local Stamford nursery school and once qualified, the nursery was keen to retain her valuable contribution to the nursery and so progressed her to Room Supervisor. In the 2 years before opening The Little Lane Nursery, Emma was fortunate enough to experience a very different side of nursery nursing by working in the neonatal intensive care unit at Peterborough City Hospital. Parents and guardians hold Emma in the highest regard and she plays a very hands-on role within the nursery; a much loved character in the Stamford area!

Victoria
Proprietor
Victoria Banfield is the Proprietor and is responsible for the nursery administration and finance.
Victoria is mum to William and Phoebe and is experienced within business administration and account management fields. She has worked in many industry sectors and has a focused business approach with a keen eye for detail.

Wendy
Room Supervisor
Primrose Room
"I’m Wendy and I have worked in childcare for over 23 years, since the birth of my first child. I’m qualified to level 5 and I’m currently studying a level 5 Child psychology course to enhance my knowledge.
I have worked at the Little Lane Nursery since 2017 and have vast experience with all ages. I currently work on the Primrose room, which is my favourite age group to work with. I love to watch, help and encourage the little ones into doing lots of their first tings, like walking, crawling and talking. Sharing these special moments with you is the best job anyone could have.
I can’t wait to explore the world with them and beware I do like to get messy with them, we’re very hands in with our exploring."

"Hi i'm Becca, I qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner in 2022, I've always wanted to work with children and now that my son is older, it was my time.
I love being a mum and that reflects in the way I look after children, I love to see children's characters develop and be a part of that journey.
Outside of work, we often go on walks and spend time with family.
I look forward to meeting you during your time at The Little Lane Nursery"

Georgina
Deputy Room Supervisor
Buttercup Room
Hello, my name is Georgina but I’m known as George.
I have always wanted to work in a nursery since I was young, i've always enjoyed looking after and caring for younger members of my family.
I started working at The Little Lane Nursery in 2017 as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice and have worked my way up and am now the Deputy Room Supervisor within the Buttercup room. I am so happy working at The Little Lane Nursery, I love to get to know the children, create bonds, watch the children learn and grow every single day experiencing and achieving new skills. My most favourite activity is getting messy, we can get messy in so many ways and I am always first to get stuck in! I also really enjoy going out and about in our community, we are so lucky to have so many opportunities in our doorstep in Stamford.
As much as I love being at nursery with my favourite little ones I also enjoy spending my time with my friends and family and going out shopping 😊"

"Hi, my name is Lucy and I joined The Little Lane Nursery in 2020 and love watching and helping the children develop. I love taking the children out and about with the town so they can experience new things in the local community, in the same way they would if they were with their families.
I am always looking to further my knowledge and sharing them with my colleagues - I love scrolling through pinterest and various early years websites to get inspiration for new activities and ways to further extend the children's learning.
In my spare time you'll either see me spending my hard earned wages on some retail therapy, with my friends or volunteering at my local Cub Scout group".
